Starting August 18, 2018, the Law 176/2018, which organizes and regulates the internship program, entered into force.

Through internship you can hire young people who are at least 16 years of age and want to gain practical experience in the areas they specialize, in addition to the theoretical experience.

The internship program can be defined as “the specific activity developed internally for a limited time in a host organization, activity that aims at deepening theoretical knowledge, improving practical skills and / or acquiring new skills or competences”.

By “intern” we refer to any young person (16 years of age or older) who has completed or is in the process of finishing high school, post-secondary or university studies, and the “host organization” is the company that employs the intern.

In addition to professional training, we consider that an intern can actually work in the company and is entitled to a monthly internship allowance of at least 50% of the minimum wage (we remind you that in 2018 the minimum wage is 1,900 lei), proportional with to the number of hours worked. This can be an economic advantage for the companies that hire interns.
