The National Agency for Tax Administration (ANAF) extends Virtual Private Space (VPS) to all taxpayers.

In addition to individuals, also taxpayers identifed as legal entities and other entities without juridical personality may opt to electronically receive fiscal administrative documents electronically issued by the central fiscal body, as well as other documents by electronic means of remote transmission if they access the Virtual Private Space (VPS).

Starting June 1, 2017, the Order No.660/2017 of the Ministry of Public Finance (MFP) regarding the approval of the Procedure for electronic communication between MFP / central fiscal body and individuals, legal entities and other entities without juridical personality will enter into force.

Communication between MFP and taxpayers will be done online via the “Virtual Private Space” platform, provided free of charge by ANAF. Although the platform has been in place since 2014, the MFP order extends the scope of documents that can be communicated through the Virtual Private Space.

Thus, the enforceable titles, the garnishemnt notices, the decisions for lifting the forced execution measures, the summonses and the notifications may be communicated. These are acts that ANAF will communicate without the taxpayer’s request.

Another new regulation is that tax records, pay sheets, petitions, complaints, opinions on the application of tax legislation, etc. can be communicated on request through the Virtual Private Space.

All these completes the list of documents that could be communicated up to now (tax certification certificates, payment notes, social security contributions, income statements, etc).

Virtual Private Space has the role of reducing the bureaucratic time that the taxpayer is required to allocate periodically, so the platform offers taxpayers the opportunity to submit online, including Forms 200 and 220, as well as rental contracts.

We want to emphasize that legal entities are required to identify themselves electronically through a qualified digital certificate.
